so i just got some nice alpine type s speakers and i really want them to sound as good as they can, so i decided i may soundproof my car or at least try to reduce my rattle, does anyone know if that great stuff foam will work for this? and please dont smack me for this, just an idea

I'll have to do that then. My door speakers (Infinity Kappa 60.7cs) sound awful in my Celica. They have no bass at all. I have installed them in other cars and they sound amazing.

Its all in the deck, amp, and tuning. I love them too, but I insist they don't sound as good as they should in the car. I have an old-ass Blaupunkt San Francisco CD70. It's a jewel of a deck in sound quality. For amp, I have a Signat ROM 4. It's an audiophile (gosh, I HATE that word) -grade amp. I tested Eminence 8" mid-bass speakers and they sound wonderful, especially for not being car speakers. I guess my Kappas don't like the Celica. -------------------- |
