but COUNT ME IN. I think I'm the only older guy here that is keeping his Celica no matter what. A first car is special. hey now Oobeson. I still have mine (although not running). The first car is special and mine will be around for several more decades. but do we still count mine as a 6gc?! 1. Aznbcrzy 2. SwissFerdi 3. johnnehh 4. marco-polo 5. Malek 6. Playr158 (i'd have spent 4-5 times original value....so yea probably keeping it) Yes, it counts, broham. Mine is not running either and won't be for many more months. I have spent more than what the car is worth, too, little by little. Hell, since January, I have spent half what I bought the car for with the 3S-GTE swap and I still need more things, so by the time I finish it with paint and everything ($4,000 on paint but it's a show-quality paint job) so it would be stupid to sell it and lose all that money. It's a mental thing. The car is worth it to me. The Celica doesn't bother me in my garage. It'll never be a hassle to own. It's dead reliable even when it was turbocharged. Whatever broke was a stupid piston or something inexpensive. I just put gas in the car and change the oil. It's paid for. Selling it just because I'm getting older ot it's inpractical is stupid. IMHO, the only people that sell cars because they're impractical are married guys who have no balls and do whatever the fat wifey tells them to do. If you call the Celica impractical, you turned your manhood in when you got married. It's a little car with great gas mileage and awesome looks for its age. A great toy to have. People like you are who make the Celica lose its value. Get another car and keep the Celica. Do what you want. Damn, this was a long-winded post. -------------------- |
