so i just got some nice alpine type s speakers and i really want them to sound as good as they can, so i decided i may soundproof my car or at least try to reduce my rattle, does anyone know if that great stuff foam will work for this? and please dont smack me for this, just an idea

LOL i have 2 Type Rs in a custon built ported box and 2 alpine 500RMS amps. One for each speaker. Beleive me if you turn it up to like 8 or 9 i dont hear ANYTHING police sirens, horns, nothing but bass and highs. But if you want to sound proof your car go for it. I just dont think it needs it in my case.

I just dont think it needs it in my case. Well, you kinda have no clue until you have sound proofed your car. I did my trunk and will continue on the rest of the car as the cash flow runs. Atm i'm still struggling with my hatchback. to much rattling when i crank up the base. 12" Dynabel with 2500Watts of power up its arse makes alot of noise and the low tunes really shake the whole trunk to pieces. Sound proofing also help for the road noise, which is nice if driving on the freeway ect. |
