Alrighty, I'm putting together a system for my celica. Some may think its off the wall, and it will take some time/design to complete it, but I want to see what you guys think.

PRC (Programmable Relay Controller) that runs on 12vdc system costs roughly 160 bucks 8in/8out, mountable with din rail. Small, and easy to hide behind dash.

Taking that PRC I planned on using it to control a Y-valve to switch w/manual or automatic control from Ram air, to stock Cold air intake. Creating a small preciptation sensor, when continuity is reached on the sensor tips its closes the circuit and issues the relay command to close for a period of time and search agian in a interval specified, so the ram air is not shooting water into the engine, but this elimiates having to manually do it via lifting hood and changing valve position. This will of course be placed in on the rain collector rails.

The other purpose of the PRC is to control the 8 inch flat screen I have, and want to mount where my former airbag used to reside in the dash. Push button rise, and lower. This screen will be hooked up to a small ITX computer that will reside in the trunk that runs off a 16 gig flash drive running most likely open source (debian something) then of course when the swap is completed, I'll program up a sensor reading program and use that computer to display sensor readings to the screen. This eliminates the needs for bulky gauges blocking vision, and frankly I don't like the look of them =P

I know it sounds complicated, but its highly feasible. Non of this has been fabricated yet, but a well thought out plan rarely fails.

This also leaves me a couple relay contacts to work with on others items that can be logically controlled.

I've been designing the circuit all day at work...(should be working) once I get the schemattic drawn up I'll post it up.

The only problem I forsee is the amount of amps the PRC can pass on the outputs, being only 8 amps, I haven't researched the actuators actual draw quite yet, worse comes to worse, just more relays inline. Gota break out my CAD and see what I can come up with.
