I am in the middle of deciding what to do. I am going from a 2nd gen 3sgte already swapped an running to a 3rd gen 3sgte. just not sure which one I want.
I really want a lsd tranny so the mr2 3rd gen 3sgte might be my best choice. If I got the st205 3sgte I was thing just sell the air to water intercooler setup and awd tranny an put that money toward a lsd tranny. 1 draw back of getting a mr2 3sgte the alternator is on the back. I have the old bracket on my 2nd gen. What would I do put the bracket on and switch the mr2 alternator pulley on because I think the mr2 belts are smaller. And whitch belt would I use the old one or the new engines? I am using my old 2nd gen harness and getting a jumper harness made to the sensors needed that the 2nd gen dont have. I am just happy to get rid of the afm and have more engine bay space. Whats a good compression reading on a 3rd gen. I am trying to pick a good engine from a honest importer. What would you guys choose the gt4's 3rd gen or mr2's? Would be nice to find a wrc 3rd gen. Will be starting the disassemble tommorow an taking pictures. |
