Us Cali folks have major smog laws that makes it hard to swap in engines and make it ok to smog. This is also my first Toyota swap plus im going to be force inducted. I have experience with honda and know my way around engines. Its simple making them street legal. Knowing how the state ref works. If i can swap in a complete mr2 transplant, being the 3sgte from that car made it here to the US shores i can get it to pass the BAR program and smog it. I now if i can get the USDM 3sgte to pass the state ref. I can use any JDM 3sgte because they have more power output and responds well to mods.
Has anyone did this swap? May be its possible with custom mounts just like hondas?

Once done the JDM 6gen Celica 3sgte might be an option.
