I want to replace my intake manifold and plenum - the plenum is easy, but the manifold itself looks kinda tricky and removing the fuel rail scares me because I've never done it before and have NO idea how to do it properly or what to expect.
Can anyone direct me to a decent how-to, or do a quick write-up for me? Other than disconnecting the battery and not smoking around it, what safety precautions do I need to take when pulling the injectors & disconnecting the fuel rail? I don't at ALL know the proper way to do this, and I don't entirely trust Haynes. -------------------- |

there is 2 bolts that secure the rail to the manifold. the injectors are just sandwiched in there. you will have to disconnect the fuel lines feeding the rail. that will relieve the pressure. there will be residual gas in the rail. but it shouldnt be under pressure.
probably the easiest thing to do is disconnect the lines and leave the rail on the manifold untill you get it off. then remove everything. -------------------- 2001 Celica GT-S Turbo
