So yeah no where around me will bend above the axle at the stupid angle our cars have. But anyway I found this ►►found here◄◄
When I was at my local auto store, and was wondering, can I just use this stupid universal thing, and route it the way my stock goes? Would only be using it to go above the axle (not the whole 5-6ft section). and then use real stainless 2.25 from the cat and res to this bendable pipe. Will it work? and still make the flow better? thanks anyone ![]() This post has been edited by mgnt232: Apr 12, 2010 - 10:56 PM -------------------- |

A bit confused by some of the wording. I am surprised that no one did any crimp bending for your new set up. Ive never heard of any muffler shops not doing that. If your asking about running the pipes "under-axle" vs "over-axle" most people on here probably have under (Im just guessing though)

So um.....yeah. Lucky! OK, by upstream and downstream I mean this. I have a GT (which has 2 O2 sensors), one located before the cat (the one that's part of the manifold) and one that's located after. Hence "up"stream and "down"stream. I'm not too sure how it works on an ST (being that I don't have one, and its been forever since I've been under one). I know somewhere on here is some info about this. But as far as my set up goes. I'm only running my upstream O2 sensor (like what you have in your 2nd pic). I've got a downstream but never installed it as the only time I've popped a code was when I was real low on fuel and gunned it. |

yeah the 2nd pic, is of my 2nd o2 sensor (after the prefcat, manifold)
My first and second are both like this, but mine has been welded together (not sure y, or if this is how all of them are) But anyway I bought the first pic, and now I just have to wait for it to arrive, and do the non-fouler. So yours doesnt throw a code with only 1 o2 sensor? Is your other on plugged in still, and just kinda dangling? thanks for any info, as I want to install the headers tuesday when they arrive, but the o2 sensor wont arrive until fri-sat, and dont want to mess up my car by only running one o2 sensor(not sure if any damage can really be done) -------------------- |
