There is one primary issue of compatibility when it comes to using fifth-gen parts on sixth-gen vehicles: the centrebore.
For some reason, the fifth-gen used a 54 mm centrebore but the sixth-gen used a 55 mm centrebore. This means that you either have to shave the fifth-gen rotors -- and risk a hub-centric design getting an out-of-round centrebore -- or swap the hubs on your sixth-gen to fifth-gen hubs. Mounting fifth-gen rotors on sixth-gen hubs almost works, but not quite. I got to read, IIRC, Coomer's thread about cracking rotors when he attempted it with the Yelli Celli. |

I had a machine shop do our rotors.... Are the ST165 / ST185 Rotors / Calipers compatible ..... because this would make some sense..... since we ordered ST165 Calipers from Brake Warehouse for the race car and received single pot calipers and rotors that didn't fit (Centerbore).... I have pretty good faith in a proper machine shop keeping the centerbore... center we have not seen any problems at all... what we did have to do is offset the caliper using two washers on each bolt... -------------------- -Mike
