My 96 GT is about to turn 155k and I have not had to replace the original clutch. I drive the car pretty gently - but still, this seems too good to be true. How about you guys - what kind of miles do you get out of your stock clutch?

Well, you said it yourself. Since you drive your car gently, there shouldn't be any reason for your clutch to be going bad and slipping. My clutch lasted about 120,000 before it started slipping... but that's because I was driving my car hard.
