Today, I noticed a popping sound from my right front shock. I'm assuming that it just died. True or false?

could be a number of things, strut, wheel bearings, or control arms

could be a number of things, strut, wheel bearings, or control arms I opened the hood, and put my weight on the bad side and the part where you would bolt the strut brace on (not sure what it's called) There's three bolts around one center one. When I pushed down, that center one would come up about 1/4" and that's what makes the noise when I go over hard bumps. -------------------- taking too long to mod since '09
