i have read through everything turnip has done in his thread to try to figure out why my beams wont start. i just so happen to own a 94gt myself. i have tested spark, fuel pump, etc. but it seems like the fuel pump doesnt get a signal to pump gas in. i have also noticed that when i do get it to sputter the rpm gauge doesnt move. and also that my radio doesnt turn on anymore. any help/advice is very appreciated

using the diagnostic box in the engine bay, put one end of a wire in pin tc and ground the other end. turn the key to the on position and the check engine light on the dash should blink out the code(s). the codes will be the same as any other usdm obd1 vehicle.

if you get no codes that means it is not anything electrical, i.e. a sensor or bad connection or no signal to something. in that case if you believe its something fuel related, check that the fuel pump is actually working. Listen for it or pull the feed line off the bracket on top of the tank and see if fuel spits out of it when you crank it. I had a problem with our beams when it just died on me while I was driving to work. The fuel pump did work, but the fuel trickled out, not enough pressure to start the car. I pulled out the pump and it was aftermarket so I replaced it with a used oem pump and started the car.
