Hi Guys,
i am just wondering what would be the best cold air intake pipe diameter for a 3rd gen 3sge with a throttle body of 65mm (2 and 5/8"). my current setup uses 3" diameter which i think is good at the higher rpm range but i feel that i'm losing some in the bottom to mid range. i wanted to use the same diameter as the throttle body but the only available pipe size in my location is 2.5" only. do you think that this would be very restrictive at higher rpms? my car is a daily driver and i use it on the track very seldom. but i run full throttle on the streets whenever possible. thanks. |

id say your best bet is to buy one off ebay.... theres a seller called chrome intakes that makes an intake made to fit your specific engine and its only like $40.... its a polished aluminum pipe with a filter that has inner and outter cone.... K&N an stuff like that are good, but for the price this is just as good if not better
