Hey guys/girls, I have a problem. I have a 5 speed and whenever I do normal driving, the car runs excellent. But whenever I start from a stop and take the rpm over 5k and try to shift into 2nd gear it does not go into gear. Earlier today I was unable to get into 2nd, 4th, and reverse. Any advice? kindasad.gif

It sounds to me like your clutch is going out. Maybe you burnt it out shifting into 2nd at 5K RPMS. WHY are you shifting at 5K RPMS!?

I got a new clutch installed 6** miles ago. And 5k was a round off, its was like around 4.5 or so and it was just one of those times when you want to just get on it.

I found the problem, the cable is worn out way in the back and when I try to put it into a lower gear, something sticks out. I had to go under the car to see it. And my clutch is fine because it grips all my other gears like its still brand new, got my flywheel resurfaced, and got it installed by a friend that owns a car shop.

Excellent, that's actually great news! So get that cable replaced and you should be good to go! Sweet!
