 weird clicking.....relay? |

mobile post......anyhow this morning i get in, start her up and all is good. so i start driving and notice a consistant click sound coming from my cluster area. first i thought it might of been my keys hitting the bezel but its not. and its not like i can throw my head down by the steering collum while driving. while im parked it dosent click. any guesses? i was thinking faulty relay but dont know of any relays in that area. or is it possible the crappy transformer for the el gauges is about ready to crap out on me?

Watch the odometer. See if the ticking matches up with your odometer rolling over.

But today I had the kid in the car, so that radio wasnt loud, and there it was. Click, two second pause, click.....by the time I got home I was really annoyed with it. I thought back to this post. Yeah, odometer rolled fine, but the trip counter was stuck and trying to roll over. Reset it and no more noise. Guess I over thought this one and dont really use the trip counter so never thought to check that. Thanks! |
