Well, I went to 'Toyota Heaven' today.....and it is!
They had something like 6 6gcs on the lot and a handfull of 5th gens and tons of other stuff. I managed to piece together all the stuff needed for the swap. I got the spindles, hubs, disks, and park brake cables and assy off a 6th gen. Then I found a 5th gen that had good calipers and caliper hangars. The guy in the office said they don't usually bother selling the calipers so he gave them to me for free. He only charged me $170 for everything else! I was stoked! It did take me 2.5 hours and an allergic reaction to get all the crap off, but it was worth it. I'm going to get some pads next week and might have time to get them on but I dunno. I was hoping to get our sandblaster working so I could clean everything up and paint it all before I put it on, but I'm probably not patient enough for that. I think I'm also going to buy an adjustable proportioning valve so I have a little more control over everything. I also found out some VERY INTERESTING info that will aid us all in the future but I've got to check a couple things before I spill the beans. Lets just say we should all be thinking BIG. |

Good point, I hadn't thought about that....The spindle, disk, caliper, and caliper bracket are all the same. I believe the e-brake assembly is the same.
