Finally found something worth restoring, not decided if ill go custom or ill restore to its original beauty.
Body is straigt, some rust spots. It runs but it needs a battery, carburator and revise the brakes.. the undercarriage is ok, not rusted. The car is original from alabama, so is southern vehicle. The interior is trashed. I had not seen it from the inside, but i drove 300 miles with a uhaul trailer, so i was not going back empty handed. We negotiated, i think i paid a little too much, but the price is under 800, that was his asking price.. Surprised it runs, and no major body issues... except the hood. So right now i just need to start to clean and make it drivable again Its a classic, and i finally found it. Now i have a 77 celica, and a 97 celica... lol 20 years later. Enjoy the pics, and take note.. Is a diamond in the rough.... This post has been edited by njccmd2002: Mar 30, 2012 - 4:29 PM -------------------- Learned a lot in 10 years... there is a yard near by that has a lot of cars, I got a few old school emblems from them before, next time I go I'll check if they still have some of the 1st gen celicas, usually chassis / metal parts are useless as they are expose to the elements, but interior / plastic parts most of the time are in good shape, if I see anything that can be usefull, I'll snap pictures and share them in case you are interested.
prices are really cheap, I have never paid more than 30 bucks for parts from there. This post has been edited by Culpable04: Jul 30, 2010 - 7:15 PM -------------------- |
