Alright so im getting a good deal on a looks like a gt4 front bumper, and a rear bumper of some sort that looks good. they are both primered and are in good condition. but heres the thing, i dont feel like blowing $200 on getting some fresh paint when maybe i could find a cheaper way with the same quality. nothing can beat a professional, but if i were to paint it myself, what should i do, from beggining to end? and btw the bumpers will be off the car, i dont want to bother driving around with primed bumpers and having to tape stuff off, so the bumpers will be off the car for this.

best way to paint is to

  1. buy a compressor
  2. buy a spray gun & accessories
  3. find/build a booth
  4. buy paint/reducer
  5. buy clear/hardener
  6. practice spraying
  7. buy sand paper
  8. sand/buff

you're either gonna spend a lot of money or a lot of time or both.
