Whilst investigating some of the legalities of my upcoming project (which I won't divulge for some time yet), I stumbled across this:
The RTA will submit a legislation change to the way written-off vehicles are managed. It is intended that the changes will come into effect from 31 October 2010 and state that all vehicles classified as write-offs in NSW after 31 October, will be automatically categorised as statutory (permanent) write-offs. This means they will only be able to be sold for parts or spare metal. Figured I'd post the link here for any others whom this may affect in the near future, and I guess just for keeping in the back of people's minds. I'm sure many are aware already but it can't hurt to post it up here somewhere. |
