She doesn't do this all the time, but sometimes from a cold start, it'll idle way up at about 1,700. It eventually goes down to normal. But If I turn the A/C on when it's idling that high, it'll go down to about 1,100. I don't know if that's something to worry about or if it's nothing?

I sometimes have a similar problem where my idle will be really high, or really low to the point that it just about stalls out. I've found out that its the IAC valve (Inlet air control).
Its below the throttle body and has coolant bypass lines going to it. It controls the idle depending on the coolant temperatures. I've been told it may be sticking that is what is causing the speradic idle. Not sure if this is your problem, but it could be. -------------------- -Protection mode, For when your amp tries to blow its load. 1995 Toyota Celica GTS - Daily Driver 1999 Chevy Cavalier - Winter Beater 1994 Honda Civic CX Hatchback - Dead My Celica! |
