well, my 97' gt began giving me trouble today for the first time since i've had it. (nov2009)
my temp went up to three quarters on the way to school, i thought it might be cause i was low on coolant. i came home after school, waited a little for my radiator to cool down, refilled the coolant. then i go to drive to walmart, and my temp gauge started going up again. later on at home i let it idle for a while... my temp started rising again and realized my fans weren't activating. i checked the fan fuse, its good. so i'm guessing its the fan relay sensor? but i can't seem to find it, or any diagrams of where it might be. any help please! thanks in advance |

the thermostat can be bad and you can still have a flow of fluid.
It happened with my dad's Blazer. For some reason it never overheated, but there was still a flow of fluid. Try checking the relay box, it's under the hood right behind the radiator on the right side. I'm not exactly sure if it's in there, but that would be my guess. |
