i tried adjusting the idle with the little allen screw,the idle would increase but it would still dip to 600-530 rpm and the engine would start to rattle.....is there any way i can adjust it so it wont dip anymore?

from what i know, the 3sge has an idle screw but it's for the adjustment when the a/c is on.
btw, when does the rpm dip... during hard braking? |

from what i know, the 3sge has an idle screw but it's for the adjustment when the a/c is on. btw, when does the rpm dip... during hard braking? just a correction on my previous post and i got what you mean. you are referring to the adjustment near the ISC, right? from what i know, when you adjust the idle from there, the ecu will try to correct it thought the ISC sensor. so, eventually it will be back to its original settings. someone told me that you can adjust it little by little until such time the ECU cannot compensate. but my question is still the same. why does it dip? did you do any cam adjustment or swap? i suggest you do what Rusty said. |
