Hi all. This is my first post, been reading on this forum for a while and its a great community. I am thouroughly enjoying my import '94 st202 w/superstrut (already had fun stopping that (superstrut) from clunking and veering around the road!). I noticed a wobble at idle a few months ago after a good thrashing, and have narrowed it down to cylinder number 2 having 8 Bar of compression, compared to the 13-14 present on the other three cylinders. I suspect a burnt exhaust valve and was just wondering how much this is likely to cost, bearing in mind I may as well get them all done at the same time. Im worried about HC emmissions come MOT time....

Also, can anyone recommend anyone who specialises in this engine in my area (Suffolk, East anglia). Ive heard of 3SGE specialists, but google failed me smile.gif

Thanks in advance,

Mike

Hey mike, and welcome to 6gc. As far as valves go, find a set of 3sgte valves. They are identical, easier to find, more abundant, and thus cheaper. Average price for a set of 16 runs anywhere from 280-350 USD. Also, as far as a shop that specializes in 3SGE/3SGTE, look no further than Fensport. WWW.FENSPORT.CO.UK. I'm not sure where they are in relation to you, but a phone call or website visit will surely yield good results. Hope I've helped a bit.
