I finished Erynn's car last night. havent had a chance to drive it yet. Ill take pictures tonight when i get it home. but it basically looks exactly like mine but a 7A-FE instead of the 5S-FE.
So here is the big question. how much demand is there for a turbo kit? I can re-produce this kit fairly easy. kit will include manifold with lifetime warrenty, Garrett turbo, intercooler, polished aluminium piping, BOV, FMU for fuel, and all fittings and lines for oil. the only thing that the end user will have to do is drop the small oil pan and have the bung welded into it. yeah i dont see any reason it cant be done, the head definatly needs some port work and upgrade the pistons, the rods actually i think can take it. the 7A rods are beefier than the 1ZZ rods which are toothpicks. we have made 300 on stock 1ZZ's all the time

yeah i dont see any reason it cant be done, the head definatly needs some port work and upgrade the pistons, the rods actually i think can take it. the 7A rods are beefier than the 1ZZ rods which are toothpicks. we have made 300 on stock 1ZZ's all the time i have the forged pistons from wiseco all ready but i know the rods may hold that much but i know for sure the rod bolts wont be able to hold so i am getting paughter rods and there upgraded rod bolts ... so the bottom end will be built for 600+ hp but i will be more than happy with right around 300whp at high boost/race tune. the head as far as it goes i plan on getting custom cams along with a stg 3 head port and all....most of the parts i have for anybody thinking about doing the same is from importperformanceparts.net which you can order just the HP rebuild kit with toga racing bearings and copper head gasket and pro topline gaskets and most importantly the custom forged pistons with any comp/bore size for just above 1000.00$.. |
