after having this clunking sound coming from my front end after hitting bumps or rough roads, i replaced the figure 8 joints. while instling them i checked all the ball joints and everything seemed well. after installing them the noise was still there. when i bough the car the front struts were shot so i ended up replacing them with ksport coil overs(not the highest quality of suspension). does it make sense that the noise is coming from the strut itself? I can sort of hear this noise to the rear as well so. i never did get to drive the car with factory struts so i cant compare.

A loose object.
Really you need to be more specific because it could be your wheel, strut, bearing, axle, tie rod, exhaust, heat shield, battery, exe.
pretty much anything and everything can rattle under the hood.
