 Short shifter |

looking to have a short shifter, but ill be dagnabit to spend a hundred bucks for one....I think thats ridiculous for 2 rods and a few nuts. cant I just cut the shifter? is there anything wrong with taking a dremel to it and re-attaching the knob?

I just bought a 7th gen one off ebay. works great. I want to get a weighted shift knob now though, to compensate for the shorter throw |
