Well I have yet to look at junkyards or contact my friend who works at pick your parts due to the fact thats it's been raining here for the past two days. And I'm kind of skeptical about getting a transmission from a junkyard becuase I wont know the condition of it

2nd, taking to a shop to have it rebuild is out of the question. at around $800 for the rebuild thats a pretty penny! frown.gif

3rd I can rebuild it myself with the help of some friend(one that is knowledgeable in rebuilding transmissions(i havent found that friend yet) the parts are about $380 from some distributor on ebay. Still expensive but alot cheaper. I found a transmission on ebay for $350 shipped from some junkyard outside of California and has 107,000 miles.

My deal is that I'm doing a swap before next summer so thats why I dont really care about this engine/transmission. I go to the canyons alot and heel toe all the time and the gears grinding together are driving me nuts even after Ive changed the transmission fluid 15,000 miles ago. Does anyone have a c52 or c56 transmission for sale with low miles. I basically only need new 1st 2nd and 3rd gear syncros!!!

oh dayum really only $150 thats pretty darn cheap. It'll be about $85 for gas coming and going back. I'll most likely be up there unless I find one down here for the same price. its jdm you say how so!?? give me till sat evening, I'll reply to you then on if I'm going upstate for the transmission
