looking to have a short shifter, but ill be dagnabit to spend a hundred bucks for one....I think thats ridiculous for 2 rods and a few nuts. cant I just cut the shifter? is there anything wrong with taking a dremel to it and re-attaching the knob?

from experience i know i should ask this kind of thing before i go demolition on my baby

its not hard at all to do, just remember where everything came from and if you lose the clip i know that home depot has them
