This is the story of my car.
I bought my '94 GT from a man in Ootewah, TN in June right before my 17th birthday. It was a internet listing... It looked beautiful in the pictures, so of course I was very excited about $3,000 price covered by an insurance claim from wrecked Maxima (may it rest in peace). I drove 2 hours to find the car and when I arrived... shoot, it was the prettiest thing I'd ever seen. It had a crappy body kit not made for a Celica stuck on with tiny rivets and some kind of caulk, classy flame/lightning bolt decals that had worn down to the sticky, the 18" silver rims had so much clay dust on them they were red, the front bumper at one point had a plate attached and was never repaired, broken high beam and good lord the paint... Plus a couple minor mechanical things, no biggy. I could fill a whole page with the bad. I loved it! I've always been a Celica fan so I took it and promised I'd do all the work myself... So far in 3 months I have replaced a ruined driver's door and a rusted out hatchid. I removed the side skirts, cut them, extended them with fiberglass and am now molding them back on (the whole kit myself). I bought a Kombat front bumper and have to bend the frame to fit (hit and run in the former life)... I am repainting it myself... I finally got a job. Thank god for McD's. So I should start makin faster progress over a couple months.
anyways, I have neon sticks that used to be under the dash. Yesterday I took apart the dash and glovebox pulled them out and will be wiring them to amp to beat with subs. Also wiring sub lights the same way. Installing toggle switch on dash. Took me seven hours shut up in a warehouse messin with everything to get this far ![]() I plan on getting another battery too. For more power and lights ha I don't like how the seats sit up. Had to modify to put under seats. Looks good though. I'll snap a few pics. Next: gauge lights and a car wash ![]() This post has been edited by nwizzle: Nov 7, 2010 - 8:39 AM |
