Hey everyone,
I finally got my 3SGTE engine and am finding my self both excited and over whelmed. I don't know much about cars, but I'm wanting to work and learn for this beautiful car. so I'll post pictures and questions about the process. so with out further adu... 3SGTE Swap Pictures Tell me your opinions, and what to look out for! okay, checked the coil pack (bolted to body.. not that it matters) with an ohmmeter, and had a range of .3-.7 resistance. which is close enough to 3.5-5.5 for me to go that its fine. checked the secondary and its reading about 12.25 I believe... and that is smack dab in the middle so its okay too...
my dad (not sure if this would work imho) tried to see if there was spark coming from the coil by taking the plug out and placing it to see if he could get a spark to jump from the coil to the plug. no luck. I'm going to try to measure the distributor, but its kinda hard to do while on the engine. please please PLEASE if you have any info about what could be causing no spark let me know! Kevin |
