a 1994 Mitsubishi 3000gt. N/A 5 speed.
I gotta take more pictures, but for now that's it. I really love this car so far, even with it's issues. I have a new clutch to be put in this weekend, and maybe that will solve a lot of it. -------------------- 1994 Celica GT, coupe, 5 speed. Front strut brace, cherrybomb glasspack, intake. |

Okay, but the point is you just made is invalid. "Why build a N/A into something if there's a vr4 existent". I would ask everybody on the forum the same question. Why build your celica if there's a gt4 that exists? vr4s are rare and expensive when you do find them. Plus the N/A is a better platform IMO. 10.1:1 CR= low turbo lag when twin turbo is put on. The vr4 has a slight turbo lag, and if I TT'ed mine with the SAME SETUP, I would beat it. I don't have all the extra added weight of stupid ECS, Active Exhaust, Active Aero, etc. I have the SL model, which consists of what I need for speed. And furthermore, what makes you think an AWD swap is impossible? It's extremely easy(and cheaper), if not more so on this car vs a celica. For one, the rear subframe mounts are ALREADY THERE. It's quite literally a bolt on conversion that can be done in a day if time is properly set aside and you are a diligent worker. And as far as aftermarket support? Cmon dude, this isn't a honda. I'm talking real performance parts like lightweight crank pulleys, plenty of lightweight flywheel/clutch combo's, fuel upgrades, from injectors to fuel rail, to fuel lines to an aftermarket FUEL FILTER. I mean seriously, this is ridiculous. Why can't someone just say something nice without some kind of crappy negative comment on something they read about on an online forum from one guy. This car isn't slow, it doesn't weight a lot, and it's styled very nicely. I thought I made my point earlier...
