a 1994 Mitsubishi 3000gt. N/A 5 speed.
I gotta take more pictures, but for now that's it. I really love this car so far, even with it's issues. I have a new clutch to be put in this weekend, and maybe that will solve a lot of it. -------------------- 1994 Celica GT, coupe, 5 speed. Front strut brace, cherrybomb glasspack, intake. |

Everybody is just straight up hating this car- why? It's been just as reliable as the celica, a lot of you are exaggerating a lot. As far as parts just "needing to be replaced one after another" that is not the case with this car. Sure, it has it's issues, but what doesn't. You can't buy a used car that's a 94 and expect it to be perfect. And I find this car is way faster than the celica. I've driven this right after I've hopped out of the driver seat of the celi. Way more powerful. And one of the biggest reasons I love this car? Daniel knows what I'm talking about. AFTERMARKET SUPPORT. Something some of you Celica owners don't even know the meaning of. If and when something on this car breaks, I have the choice of HKS, AEM, or whatever, pertaining to the part. This car is well styled, more proportional than the coupe celica, and faster than Gt's and St's. Not counting 3s swaps or anything, probably not, but if I had 2k, I'd do TT on this and then we'd see. Haha. The only thing this thing lacks in is gas mileage, and the fact that you have to use premium, due to the 10.1:1 compression ratio, but if I cared about that, I'd drive a honda. That's my opinion, and everything i want to say about it. I will keep you posted, and prove to the people that think otherwise; this is a car that has tons of potential, and the displacement is there, I will make this car a beast.
And I'm not hating on the Celica at all. Not even in the smallest bit. I love them ;D And I might even buy another one in the future (albeit hatchback) for cruising and gas mileage. -------------------- 1994 Celica GT, coupe, 5 speed. Front strut brace, cherrybomb glasspack, intake. |

Any celica 2.If its a toyota you can 3. so are minivans 4. Because we dont have anyone in japan and has molds of body parts and ships them to use for cheap? o wait... 5. Cause the celica has no curves Okay, but the point is you just made is invalid. "Why build a N/A into something if there's a vr4 existent". I would ask everybody on the forum the same question. Why build your celica if there's a gt4 that exists? vr4s are rare and expensive when you do find them. Plus the N/A is a better platform IMO. 10.1:1 CR= low turbo lag when twin turbo is put on. The vr4 has a slight turbo lag, and if I TT'ed mine with the SAME SETUP, I would beat it. I don't have all the extra added weight of stupid ECS, Active Exhaust, Active Aero, etc. I have the SL model, which consists of what I need for speed. And furthermore, what makes you think an AWD swap is impossible? It's extremely easy(and cheaper), if not more so on this car vs a celica. For one, the rear subframe mounts are ALREADY THERE. It's quite literally a bolt on conversion that can be done in a day if time is properly set aside and you are a diligent worker. And as far as aftermarket support? Cmon dude, this isn't a honda. I'm talking real performance parts like lightweight crank pulleys, plenty of lightweight flywheel/clutch combo's, fuel upgrades, from injectors to fuel rail, to fuel lines to an aftermarket FUEL FILTER. I mean seriously, this is ridiculous. Why can't someone just say something nice without some kind of crappy negative comment on something they read about on an online forum from one guy. This car isn't slow, it doesn't weight a lot, and it's styled very nicely. I thought I made my point earlier... Tell me how many N/A engine builds you see going around on this site?Aside from the beams ad 4age swap all performance build threads on this site are either 3sgTe,5sfTe or 7afTe. Good luck with your car and build, and i hope your right and it doesn't break at all, but id advise you to not attempt to rip on celicas on a celica site..
