Thought I'd stop by and say Hi. Been a while. Have LOTS going on in my life right now, mostly bad unfortunately. Had to sell my Corvette last month to put some liquid assets back into pocket, selling all my fun non-essentials for the most part for the same, preparing for a complete start over in terms of life/career save for my family. This has unequivocally been the worst year of my life and it could get MUCH worse before the year ends.

My luck continuing, our beater threw a rod on Tuesday while I was driving up to Purdue to see Dustin. So now the Celica which hasn't been out of the garage since May is seeing daily duty. I must say that the car simply puts a smile on my face still. I think she's thanking me for being used again because she's running FANTASTIC too. Good news about the Vette sale is that I've got some high end audio equipment to go in the Celica now (Bravox component speakers being the high end, mundane Alpine amps for power, need to build a box and find a nice sub still).

Still have the Trans Am also......Got the turbo kit in on the new motor and it's having the tune finished up. It's going to be stupid when it's done. I'll put it like this. 25-30% outruns normal traffic flow from a stop easily, and 9% throttle to cruise at 80 MPH. It's moving air quite nicely and sounds pissed off at the same time.

How ya'll been here??

Well, it's interesting actually. My wife tried telling me to sell the Celica and keep the Vette because a lot of this years events stemmed from her decisions. But I had to be realistic about it and say no, we're keeping the Celica because it's paid for, and if I sell the vette I put (literally) $13K cash assets back into my pocket after payoff. Just the logical choice. I never planned to get rid of ANY of my toy cars, but considering the Celica and Trans Am are paid for.......I shouldn't ever have to get rid of them. Only reason I ditched the vette was because of the payment, otherwise I'd have kept it.

Here's something for your audio visual types:

That's on a baseline tune.......should get a little more choppy once the idle is where it should be. GOtta love it.
