heres the deal. got a 96 celica and got a 95 motor. i swapped out the oil pump so i have a crank posit. sensor and i got a 96 distrubuter. put the motor in and its just turns. no starting or nothing. i put new cap and rotor and plugs and wires and coil. now i have spark on cyl 1 and 2 but is very minimal but no spark on 3 and 4 and that lost mee. i sprayd starter fluid in the intake to see if its getting fuel and it is but it still dont start on that either. im open to other ideas please help meeee!!! i need to get this car runnign so i can sell it! i have too many dang cars and i only use my 94 celica and my jeep.

make sure the crank gear,cam gear are where there suppose to be cause u can not just go by the distributor and cam gear i had same issue cause it jumped a few gears and made it all out of whack.. if u have to re due the timing belt and put motor at TDC it will be worth it ... hey at least you will know for sure that is not the problem then move on to problems that associate with OBDl to OBD ll
