Hi All,
I was installing a new head unit and something has blown whilst i was doing so. I didn’t have the battery disconnected when installing the unit (I'm an idoit!!!) and some of the bar wires crossed paths. The dome light went out and the car won’t start now – the keyless remote also wont work. All fuses are OK and all other electrical items are operational. I’m thinking that the immobiliser has something to do with it but I have no idea how it is controlled or where is it placed – I imagine that its quite hard to get too as to remain tamper proof. Are you sure you checked the correct fuses? The radio fuse is under the hood, not under the dash, and if I recall, the dome and the radio are on the same fuse line.
