Well as the holidays come to a close its time to start planning some meets for the west coast!! The big California meet,FOTY,is still a few months away but look for a thread with more details soon. This thread will mainly be for a mini-meet in nor cal(opposed to so cal where foty will be). The day I'm thinking about is Saturday, January 22nd 2011 on treasure island. I know the 7th gen celica and supra guys have had some success with it so i figure 6th gens should try it out. I will be PMing all the northern CA members i can think of to see if they can make it out.
This meet will be VERY basic,(no raffles, events, or prizes like the previous ones, sorry). It will be just a "parking lot" meet where people can discuss and show off their cars, talk plans, maybe even bring some RCs(i know azn87&I have some)it will be a pot luck kind of thing with everyone bringing something. List(*=confirmed) *Suprakid-Andrew- *Camaricer-Nam-BBQ, pole chair, dranks *Greyform-Emerson-Plates, napkins, untensils azn87-Hot dogs and hamburger buns nics-??-??? ZEROCOOL-tip-Chips 6strngs-Nathan-Condiments(ketchup,mustard),hotdogs Akira_g4-enrique-?? What we will need: hamburgers/ I will be updating this post as we get closer to the meet to keep everyone up to date! UPDATE(1-8-11) If you dont know, treasure island is the island that the Bay bridge goes through in the middle of the Bay. The bay bridge toll is 5$ on the westbound Oakland side, so if your coming from the SF side you'll miss all the tolls! I just sent the director of events on the island an email about the meet just to make sure its OK and we don't get in trouble lol. The black/red show where we will have the parking and BBQ. From Google earth i can see park benches so seating will be fine. If you guys could all PM me your cell phone Numbers and if you can text that would be great!i will be arriving about 30 minutes before the 11am meet time to reserve the spots and get everything worked out. Here is the AWESOME view we will have(as long as it isnt foggy ) Time line: 11-12=Arrivals/setups 12-2=BBQ,rc drift, talk, ect 2-3=Go to certain areas of the island for Pictures 3-5=Cruise(To be determined, feel free to PM me your ideas so we dont clutter up this thread) This post has been edited by SupraKid: Jan 17, 2011 - 12:28 AM |

What is your first name?? Nathan QUOTE (Akira_g4) haha dude the sonoma meet, good times. running the 1/4 mile was pretty fun, but now i have a 7th gen GTS i should be able to do faster than 16.9 now! but yea im down to run the 1/4 mile again. Definitely! I ran a 15.0 in my 00 GTS with an ebay CAI, MWR water and alt pulleys, tanabe axle back, fidanza short throw shifter, 17x8 wheels w/ 225/45/17 tires, and the back seats removed. Because my tires are slightly larger diameter than stock I wasn't landing the 1-2 shift in lift, and some people from nc.org said with just some lightweight 15's and a smaller diameter tire I should be hitting ~ 14.5-14.6. Still not fast enough for me though. lol -------------------- 94 GT - Sold -------- 69 Pontiac Lemans - Sold 88 Alltrac - Sold ---- 04 WRX - Sold 00 GT-S - Sold ------ 91 Miata - project/drift car 95 GT - Sold -------- 96 GT - New Daily Drive |
