Hello All! I'm excited to announce that I too will be joining the small percentage of 3sgte swapped Celica's. I purchased my 3sgte engine clip yesterday "Friday", and will receive it this coming Wednesday. I'll start my swap the last week of January due to accrued vacation that I've earned at work. In my short time on 6gc I've spent my time reading up on similar swaps so that I could learn as much as possible. I don't think i'll be able to be up in running in two days like some of the gear-heads on this site, but I certainly hope that I have the privilege to post, and work with some of the masterminds that make this site so great.
The Car: 94 Celica GT. Currently with 224,000 miles on it. The 5s still runs like a top, but I originally purchased this car to complete a 3sgte swap. I was given the privilege of driving a JDM 3rd Gen Celica RC (right hand drive...the whole 9), and I've been in love since then. I've owned two integra's. One GS-R, and the other a GS. I learned to love Honda, but have come to realize that Toyota is WAY better. I love my car and can't wait to get started. I'll start updates and pics as soon as I get my clip. Please feel free...I value your feedback, and understand that I know a fraction of the information that some of the great minds on this site know! 4VS0y This post has been edited by bsamps4: Apr 17, 2016 - 2:21 PM -------------------- |

Part No: Pump GSS-341 & Set Up Kit 400-760
Fits: 91-95 MR2 Description: Walbro Fuel Pumps are direct replacements and all wiring is a plug in. They flow 255L/HR which is much larger then your stock. The pump is good for up to 400whp. This is the Walbro pump that i'm going to purchase to use for my swap since the one for the 5s will be insufficient. Anyone see any problems with this part number? I've also planned on using my stock hood for the time being, and simply using spacers to lift the hood in the back to fit the water to air exchanger. I've been reading several different threads on the wiring required for the set up....clutch switch, IC Relay, Fuel Pump Relay, and wire extensions. To be honest....this freaks me out. Electrical work is one area where I lack confidence. I learn by doing on-hand work and being shown in person, but all the pictures I've seen so far have led me to more confusion. I'm sure I'll figure it out. Presure2....your write up on the wiring was wonderful...if you don't mind, I'll likely have a lot of questions for you in the future. I hope this doesn't lead to any kind of headache for you. With that all said...I just received word from the company shipping my clip, and the item will be shipped today! I ended up having to pay an extra 161 dollars for shipping, which kind of pissed me off, but having the motor, and getting started is very important to me. Cheers! -------------------- |
