All I gotta say is at least they're genuinely concerned for the well-being of their customers by recalling the problem vehicles. Not like Ford with their Pinto in the 70s or the Pontiac Fiero.

They are. We had engineers from Toyota fly over from Japan at our dealership on Monday to check out a Rav4 with an issue with it's transmission. The one thing about Toyota unlike all other car companies is that they will actually stop production until they resolve the problem. If they can't figure it out, then it gets 86'd. Most other car companies still produce and try to fix it. It was cool to have them fly out here, as they travel world wide trying to understand what is going on with their cars. Also, Toyota outsold other car companies by 8% for 2010. They really are shooting for top car company in the world, if they aren't already. I know in the USA, they were No.2 for the longest next to GM, and now hold the top rank. BOOYAH! Despite the recalls....

Right now we are getting recalls for the Avalons lately, and still with the Tundras for the brake pedal... I seen an old(er) Sienna have paperwork on it regarding a recall... I dunno what that was about or if they just simply been putting it off for so long (the customer).

Anyways... yeah. Recalls we have are not major issues, just that those who hate on Toyota wanna make a big deal out of it, even though their US favorite car companies have had far worse throughout their existence and for much longer.
