going through alot the threads on here and I see alot of baggers, haters, whatever you wanna call it. If you enjoy this site and want to be on here for awhile than I suggest you watch what you say and the words you use otherwise, your not gonna like the results. This site is designed as a fun and interesting tool for us. There should be no reason for a moderator, but givin the past events and some people that just don't get it, there is. Just watch what you say, how you say it and, your time on 6gc.net should be an enjoyable one.

I'll even chime in and (like anytime i post) make this thread epic
jp Honnestly my thoughts: 1- This is a repost. This pops up ever 6-8 months. Within the next 1-2 months there will be the ever so famous "the modd's are mean to me" thread too. 1a- It does always give a solid reminder to everyone though. And usualy lasts up untill about a month before the next one. 2- As always with these "NewGen/OldGen" threads, I agree with OP, and all posts so far (including the "what's up" to piro, and Andrew's post- lol) Andrew got the nail on the head with his point "C". The new guys who get burned to the point of leaving are the ones that join and start building a reputation bassed on things they "intend" to do. (GT4Solder's epic 2 post's before being banned comes to mind...) witch he's settled down and done some learnin and is okay in my book now. So no offense by that example. it's just a preimum example. 2a- It's never a good idea to build a reputation on what you havene't done. 2b- As a senior member, looking at a fresh face, How do you know they haven't actualy done it before? (i had that problem, I ran several swaps/boost projects with a different car community before getting a celica and finding my way here. And was a noob here. Although i humbly asked for information and lived in the search for a few months before talking anything) 2c- And that's how i justify myself when i tell people to search. I've done it. It's helped. 3- Search feature really is your friend. Because not only do you learn the answer to your question, You learn the other questions you should have been asking. AND their answers. (EX: Someone totaly new to boost would ask "what injectors to use" and learn that he also needs a fuel pump. Witch pump? Oh a Walbro225lhp, Gotit) 4- I do endorse the non flame thing. Unless you're not listening. Then i believe you deserve what you get. (I use the teq. on all my trainee's at work. I cannot teach you what you refuse to learn) 5- and most importantly we are a community. Each member has a different face, personality, taste, style, likes and dislikes. That should absolutely be respected at all times. From Ricer to Restorer. (be it a 4 Ft razor wing with vertical doors, or removing a stock wing and replacing aftermarket with the origonal yellow side markers) It's our differences that make us unique. And or difference of understanding as a community that makes us unique aginst all other fourms. With that said; NO is still haven't learned to spell. -------------------- QUOTE (presure2 @ Nov 6, 2010 - 6:16 AM) Via FB: fcuking awsome!!! D-man FTW! Damn D-Man - most impressive. D-Man's post should be a sticky LOL, oh boy, you can always count on D-Man for ridiculously hilarious posts. |

QFT. #2a,b,c: again, QFT. thats a problem i have been guilty of myself, and have learned over the years to never assume that just because someone is new to the site, that they are new to automotive work, or celicas specificly. #3: god, i wish i could get every single member to understand this. #4: the no flaming thing is one of the cornerstones of this site, IMO. it makes everyone more confortable asking questions and starting discussions about things they otherwise may not for fear of being made fun of, or bashed. #5: this is prolly the most important one, and somthing i personally take pride in being a part of. our diffrences is what brings us together, otherwise everyones car would look exactly the same, and what fun would that be? while we encourage everyone to give theyre opinions, good or bad, we do insist that everyone be respectfull. it pretty much comes down to this. if you cant say somthing nice, or consructive, without being rude, just dont post. that said, after 8+ years here, i can honestly say without a doubt this is the BEST 6th gen celica resource on the 'net, and that aint changin anytime soon, thanks to all of you. we all continue to push the community forward, and come up with new and exciting things to do to our cars to make them suit our personalitys and styles. just remember guys, your no better or worse than the person who posts above or below you, no matter how long you been doing this, how much money you make, where your from, or where you've been. we are all here to help each other, and THAT is what makes this site great. -------------------- Former Team 5SFTE pro member ;)
