What do you mean you'll have to refill it?

well at sea level, water boils at 100C... The highest point of the world (tip of mt everest) It boils at 72C~ last time i checked, Our engines normal operating tempature is much hotter than either of those figures. Water works just fine, But it also evaporates with usage. Therefore you have to refill it (with moar water) It's no big deal though, It's just water. (free at your local water spicket- lol)

toyota red coolant does not have chemicals in it that green does that can eat away are seals or gaskets. they come with red for a reason. just get the red and not have any issues

Also a good point to mention. Good lookin out Smaay. thumbsup.gif

ahhh d-man...your forgetting about the radiator cap raising the boiling point. wink.gif
in reality, the best coolant would be plain distilled water, it absorbs and releases the heat better than any antifreeze mix does,
but, you need lubricants, anticorrosion protection, and freeze protection, so we use anti-freeze coolant.

mixed properly, any coolant will do the job in our cars.
i've used all kinda brands, and colors over the years..no noticable diffrence in day to day driving with any of them.
now, if your tracking your car on the regular, ...you may want to be more selective in what you use, but generally, i just use whatever is in the car to begin with, and try not to mix brands/colors. (if your switching brands or colors, its always best to flush the system completely before adding new coolant. (that includes the heater core as well)
