My car handles pretty well on smooth roads, but when I get on roads with imperfections or bumps, my steering wheel has a tendency to jolt around left to right according to the bump. My prev vehicle was RWD so this never really occurred. Is this normal for a FWD car or is something loose/in need of replacement?

Thanks.

i would say, if the car is old, which ours are...replace the steering rack pinion, check for other steering replacement...endlinks, anything with the suspension and made out of rubber...see if it is torn...engine mounts
