was reading in mr2 this, making a hybrid S54/S51. Using the internals from a camry tranny into ours. in the case that e153 is difficult to find or get.
he S54 housing with S51 internals gives you great gear ratios (similar to the E153) without the added weight. I would contact the guys on mr2.com that are actually running that set up but I have found more than one person with 400+hp running that set up with over a year using that set up. It is the set up I am personally looking to run when I attempt to swap in the 3vz-fe.
