The car is a '94 GT Coupe, and I'm only replacing the front ones. Not doing it myself, but my mechanic said "get what you want and I'll install everything," so I wanna make sure I get all the parts, and make sure they're the right parts.
Regarding Struts: I found the following: 365092 (Cartridge) 334378 (Sealed, Right) 334379 (Sealed, Left) When I search ShowMeTheParts.com/KYB for parts that fit a 94, only the cartridges come up. Will the sealed struts still fit? Regarding Mounting: I found the following: SB103 (Bellow) SM5372 (Mount) SM5164 (Kit) Depending on where I look, SM5372 comes up as either "with rebuildable strut" or "all applications." Will it fit both? The kit seems to be fine for both sealed and rebuildable everywhere I looked. Will it fit both? The kit also says "mount comes with bearing" and the price doesn't make much sense (higher than $[SB103] + $[SM5372]). That's telling me it's not just SB103 and SM5372 thrown in a box... so what's the difference? I'm also planning to get a camber kit and saw a recommendation for this Eibach kit. Are there better ones out there? That covers the strut, mount, bellows, and camber kit... am I missing anything? |

I use the GR2 myself. Cartridges in the front, full replacements in the back.
Fronts are easy install, put'em on a vice, turn the cap off, and slap the new carts in. For your mount question. There is a bearing that the mount resides on, OEM replacement is about 20-25 via dealer. The boot I believe sits on the strut shaft...I dont' have them on mine, havn't noticed a diff or any noise without them. I think they are to keep the strut internals clean...not quite sure. If you goto this link: http://www.6gc.net/forums/index.php?showtopic=60744 Part: 48559-20080 - I believe is the boot. Part: 90903-63002 - Is your bearing. |

Okay, so I'll just get the kit (mount, bearing, boot)... and I think I'll stick with the sealed struts since the mechanic is charging me a flat rate no matter what I choose. The struts will probably outlast the engine anyway...
