I regret selling my old celica so much, and i really want a new one. My miata is cool, but i love the celica's. They can be made to look so clean, and it's amazing. Obviously I would prefer GT over ST, but at this point I don't care which one I get. hatchbacks would be definitely preferred. I loved the coupe, but I love the hatchback more. Must be five speed. or if you have an automatic with all the necessary parts for a five speed conversion, that's cool too. That's all my requirements for the celica. As for my car.
It's a 1990 Mazda Miata MX-5, five speed convertible. No, the top doesn't leak. The car has 202,552 miles on it. Well maintained? Yes. I wouldn't drive her any other way. The only mod is just an aftermarket air intake filter. There is nothing else that has been done to this car. The interior is in great condition. The top leather of the steering wheel is coming off, but that's the only thing. Drives well, has the odd noise here and there. Not really maintenance related noises, more just the noises a 21 year old car would make. The speedometer cable squeaks when she's cold. The exhaust probably has a leak somewhere, but it's not obnoxious. I've done a lot of work to this car. i've replaced the ECU to the updated Mazda B one. Not much of an upgrade, changes the batch injector firing to sequential. The spark plugs have been replaced. The coil has been replaced. The igniter has been replaced. The car has an intermittent spark loss issue, when it happens (rarely) the tach goes to zero, but always comes right back up. It's very clearly the only thing I haven't replaced, which is the Cam Angle Sensor, which is an 80$ ebay part, that i will probably end up replacing before anyone buys it anyways. I've replaced the transmission fluid with synthetic lucas, as well as the rear differential. The car barely smokes, when you're at idle for a moment, and you press the gas, a little puff of smoke comes out. Also, the ebrake shoes are worn out. that's everything about the car. I used to own a 1994 celica, and i miss it so much. Thanks for looking, and hopefully I can become a bigger part of 6gc.net once again! feel free to text me- 803.834.1144, or call me. I'll trade you mine
Seriously though, I might be picking up another Celica soon. And if I do, I'll have no use for it after a month or so. -------------------- "Employ your time in improving yourself by other men's writings, so that you shall gain easily what others labored hard for." -Socrates.
