My car shifted perfectly before I did my own clutch change despite the car revving sporadically when the old clutch slipped, but when I replaced the fluid I changed over to MOBIL 1. I've bled the clutch a couple of times, checked my shifter cables, and even re-adjusted my clutch to factory specifications (the pedal sits pretty high now...think i might adjust it back down). I've heard of users on this site using Synchromesh...anybody with experience please let me know if this alleviated your shifting issues.
Symptoms: Sometimes when I'm stopped I have issues getting the car back into first and have to shift through second and roll it back into first. When shifting to third the car doesn't want to accept the gear for a moment and takes a second for it to drop into place. Wasn't having trouble like this at all before the clutch change. -------------------- ![]() |
