i have been wondering.
Recently searching i came across that the HUB with the celica and the st205 are the same part number. Most toyotas have very similar part numbers. The question is, anybody has had the chance to compare the hub of the celica 5x100 vs the Camry 5x114.3. if they are very similar in dimensions, maybe changing the bearings.. Its been done all the times in the 1gc, Reasons behind it, are just pure conjectures, ideas, blah, blah blah, anyone has a camry hub? -------------------- Learned a lot in 10 years... I looked into this before, you will keep your original Celica baaring, and use a Camry / rav4 hub, I'm at work so don'ty have my notes here, but from top of my head the hubs are mostly the same but the bearings are different. I think I was looking at a Camry 1999 when I was looking into this.
I was also looking into 4 x 100 which is just as easy, earlier celicas hubs with 4 x 100 are compatible with our bearings as well. reason why I didn't go with either ? I found wheels that fit properly, that was my only motive. -------------------- |
