Now for some time, I have been going back and forth with ideas on my st205 project interior. To me the stock st205 seems a little dull and wanted to keep celica originality yet add something nice for my seat. (driver) I bought a sparco non recline able evo2 seat, seemed a little tall and uncomfortable. Then bought a recaro spg again non recline able, and yet again small tight and uncomfortable. Then finally bought a recaro sport seat and loved it.. After talking to an upholsterer, we found a way to fill in the whole upper part of the seat with the ss-iii fabric, but unfortunately wasn't enough to do the lower piece, so I bought some recaro black jersey fabric to fill that in. The rest that you see is the original alcantara on the recaro seat and we added a nice flare by adding red stitching as much as I could with out over kill. the recaro logo was a dark blue but we are in the process of dying it over a pd of a week so it can look super original. The problem is I could get it re-stitched but then I have to go through recaro's process of allowing the redo...couldn’t wait so we dyed it....eventually it’ll be as red as the stitching. I also have the TRD resin knob (genuine) and alcantara suede roof ( still haven’t upholstered the actual sliding sunroof slot. My carpet is brand spanking black new ( not new but the freshest carpet I have ever seen) Please let me know what you think.....
