Hey I was wondering what's the best way to diagnosis why my engine is making the noise that it makes. It's really loud like something is leaking. It's loud when idle and louder when revved. What's the common cause of this? I'll post video of the sound when I get the chance.
Thanks. View My Video for video when idle it's loud... is it exhaust leak or something else? what do you guys think This post has been edited by kamax: Mar 9, 2011 - 6:08 AM |

It's a flexi joint. The exhaust is held in pretty solid with the factory exhaust hangers, when the engine is revved the torque moves the engine back and forth, the flexi is just there to absorb this movement so that you dont pull the exhaust manifold nuts off when it's revved.
just go to an exhaust shop and they will cut it out and weld in a new one, it shouldn't be very expensive -------------------- Mike W
