 Trunk won't pop unless lifting up at the same time |

If I pull the handle to pop the trunk it will not open unless somebody is standing back there to lift up on the trunk lid. The same thing if I use the key to pop the trunk. Is there a spring, or an adjustment of some sort that can take care of this?

man! thanks! imma have to keep this in mind! ive been proping the latch inside the car open with my keys
