I know a shop that has both of these motors 3sgte and Beams. Which is of these are easier to swap and are more powerful. But, here is another thing because I live in California and will I be able to state ref it. I have a 97 Toyota Celica GT. Thanks.

Both are good motor, It's all depends on the $$$$ you got to make or build any engine faster. Again like it's been said before, with the Beam engine, parts will be harder to find or get. It's all depend on the power or what kind of driving you would like to set up your car to be. I've have a 3rd gen swap done to my car. I want power and set up of road racing soon. I don't drive it in the winter time. My buddy will be doing a 3sge non-Beam. His $$$ was tight, so we got what he can afford at this time. Motor just came in few days ago. Will be getting it ready and swap into his car soon. He went with non-turbo, because he still wants to drive it year round and have decent gas mileages, We live in MN, so winter can get bad some years, Too much power on FWD egual no traction in winter time.
